DEFLECTAIR™ is designed for convertibles by a convertible driver-enthusiast aircraft engineer to assure a more enjoyable and extended top-down driving season. These wind deflectors are made in North America using DOT-approved Polycarbonate of 6mm (¼ inch) thickness, in order to assure durability and stability at high speed. Our deflectors are hard coated against abrasion and UV; the surface abrasion performance is comparable to glass and the polycarbonate is virtually indestructible. Our deflectors are designed and cut by using the latest technologies to ensure efficiency, high quality, perfect fit, and easy installation, providing years of service. How it works: the wind deflector decreases the wind velocity coming from the rear, leaving only a very gentle breeze; you will still have the feeling that you are driving top down without annoyance of the wind buffeting and turbulence. The wind deflector works perfectly in cool and hot weather areas by keeping the hot/cold air from the A/C (air conditioning) inside the car. Not all deflectors are created equal! We take care of the small details.

Our Design versus others on the market
Our deflector is installed on the cockpit side end wall behind the seats using 4 screws. Finish caps are provided for a professional look, and they are invisible from the seats in front. The deflector stays in place all year long.
The OEM Pontiac/Saturn deflector is held in place with 8 screws on the top of the end wall and a very visible mounting base and holes. The screen can be disconnected quickly, but the base stays in place. We have been unable to confirm whether the OEM deflector needs to be removed for roof operation.
Other models that do not require new holes use existing screws in the trunk, and the deflector needs to be very thin to fit between the trunk gasket which will become damaged over time due to excess compression. This deflector must be removed when the roof is up to avoid friction with the rear window heating wires – a costly repair if left in place – and efficiency is reduced since the part is further away from the passengers.
Most of our customers leave the deflector in place 100% of time, for fast roof operation in case of sudden rain and the added convenience of daily usage.
